Where we began in 2010...

Andrew Kyle founded ASKJAK Associates in 2010 bringing together a group of like minded people with substantial expertise across multiple fields in Contract Catering, Facilities Management, Venue Operations & Procurement.  ASKJAK was made dormant between 2014 and 2020.  Andrew then revived the Consultancy during the Covid period in 2020, following a period back in Industry. This broad set of knowledge and experience in the hospitality and leisure industry has helped our Clients achieve their aims.

The ASKJAK aim is simple  - to provide a resource efficient service to our Clients, allowing them to concentrate on their day  to day business. ASKJAK also supports other consulting organisations in delivering expertise where required. Just some of the work we have carried out has included:

  • Running & managing catering & cleaning tenders - typically for Schools, MATS, FE, Universities, Venues, Stadia and the NHS
  • Benchmarking  exercises - checking on Clients contractors value for money - across B&I, Leisure and the NHS
  • Monitoring & Review - managing the contractor for the Client, to ensure the contractual arrangements and service delivery are being adhered to
  • Operational Excellence - coaching of in-house catering teams in Education, Venues and Retail Catering
  • Procurement Advisory - writing purchasing policies, ensuring global procurement best practices are put in place for corporate leisure clients
  • RFP & Bid Management - writing bespoke 'go to market' RFP's / tenders for large multi-million leisure Clients
  • In-house v Out-source appraisal - when Clients are not sure which options to pursue
